Candice

Candice did my Gold Success Program for six months. She trained one-on-one in person with me. In six months, she lost 18 lbs, 8.7% body fat, and 20 inches overall. She never missed an appointment and was very dedicated.

Her story:

I like to think I’ve been fairly healthy most of my life; I’ve never been on any medications, and I’ve usually been within a healthy range for my weight. But the last couple of years have been stressful. I studied for two and a half years to finish tests for a license for my career. While studying, I easily gained 20 pounds and did not feel my best; I felt uncomfortable in my own skin. I’m pretty short, so 20 pounds on my frame is a lot. I finally had my “a-ha” moment when my sweet mother-in-law sent a picture of me and my family at a school presentation for my daughter. I didn’t even recognize myself! It was definitely a wake-up call. I reached out to Sandy in the next couple weeks after that photo.

Sandy offered a free consultation to visit her home gym and to see if this was something I wanted to sign up for. I had already made up my mind to sign up with Sandy before I got to her home for the consultation. I was ready for a change and with my tests behind me finally felt ready to take on this challenge. I was excited to get going but also soooo nervous when I found out about taking bikini pictures every three weeks to see progress. Before that, I hadn’t worn a bikini in 12 years.  

One of the many things I appreciate about Sandy is that she will tell you how it is. When she did my body fat percentage the first day, she let me know that it was not in a healthy range, but that she could help me lower it. Hearing my body fat percentage made me sad, but it also gave me a goal. I was sad about how out of shape I had let myself become, but I also knew that I could change it and that I had Sandy on my team to help, and that I was emotionally, mentally, and physically ready to put some time and energy into becoming a healthier version of myself.

I had to change how I thought about food and fueling my body. I was also never hungry. You’ll learn how to eat a lot of healthy food to fuel your training. I’ve felt strong and capable throughout this whole process. It’s been fun to see how much weight I can lift and to see that go up from week to week. I’m excited to keep going and to continue to see progress and change.
