“Your life is in your hands. No matter where you are now, no matter what has happened in your life, you can begin to consciously choose your thoughts, and you can change your life.”
Rhonda Byrne, The Secret

One of my favorite movies and its accompanying boost is The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. She invites the world’s leading scientists, authors, and philosophers to discuss the “Law of Attraction.” The Law of Attraction is the power deeply rooted in each individual to create their own thoughts and beliefs which determine their actions and magnetically attract their desires. It explains why some people enjoy immediate success and happiness while others continue in a lifetime of bad luck and negativity. Rhonda describes how The Secret utterly transformed the lives of every person who ever knew it… Plato, Newton, Carnegie, Beethoven, Shakespeare, Einstein. And, it has the power to change your life too.

“The difference between someone who is struggling and someone who has a fabulous life comes down to one thing — love. Those who have a great life imagine what they love and want, and they feel the love of what’s they’re imagining more than other people.” Rhonda Byrne

So, how does one begin to attract all that they desire and have confidence that the universe will grant the dreams of their heart? It begins with consistent, daily practice. By correcting your negative thoughts, visualizing your goals, and speaking positively and confidently about your future you immediately begin a positive change. Here are some ideas:

– Post pictures of yourself at a time when you were at your goal weight
– Find pictures of women you want to look like either in magazines or on the internet, cut them out, and paste them on your mirror, refrigerator, or back door
– Write quotes and goals with erasable marker on bathroom mirror
– Read your affirmations everyday? close your eyes and imagine yourself in the movie of your own life? and SEE your success
– Write a letter to yourself promising that this will be the final word on the subject and that you will succeed
– Tell supportive family and friends of your promise to yourself
– Put a quote or pictures on the screensaver of your computer
– Keep a gratitude journal; each day write 3-5 things you are proud of or grateful for
– Create a blog or find a notebook and write your thoughts about healthy eating and exercise each day
– Use prayer to guide you and give you strength
– If interested, utilize hypnosis or meditation to heal emotional wounds that may be holding you back

“Whatever you can imagine is waiting for you, fully created in the invisible, and the way to make it visible is to harness the force of love by imagining and feeling what you love.” Rhonda Byrne
