The dream you are living is your creation. It is your perception of reality that you can change at any time. So your wondering how? Is your dream a happy dream or a sad dream? Whichever it is, it was created by you. I want to go over 4 ways you can create your dream life.
1. Honesty - Are you honest to your family and friends. Hopefully you are but I'm not talking about other people. I'm talking about you and being honest with yourself. What you say to yourself is honest or not. Do you ever listen to you thoughts? What are you saying to yourself? Are you saying "I am fat," "I am ugly," "I am stupid," or "I can't do that?" When you say these things to yourself you are creating a reality and believing these thoughts more every time you say them to yourself. Are these things the 'truth? You might have convinced yourself they are, but they are not. Whatever you believe about yourself is true. So, let's change the things you are saying to yourself. Every morning before getting out of bed and every night as you go to bed, say the following: "I am beautiful, I am talking steps to becoming more healthy everyday, I am smart and I can do anything I put my mind to." These are examples of some affirmations you can say to yourself everyday. As you say these affirmations see yourself being the new you in your new dream life.
2. Being Happy - Sometimes we think that if we had this certain object, won a certain title or had a perfect relationship we would be happy. Unfortunately this is not always the case. The secret of happiness is enjoying the journey and what it will take for us to get there. Making goals are great and can contribute to our well-being, plus everyone needs to make goals to accomplish their dreams. A happier life is shaped from experience-to-experience, moment-by-moment. Enjoy what you are doing today to the fullest and you will become happier with who you are.
3. Support - You can do it! We all need support at one time or another. We all have good days and bad days. Who do you turn to for support? Especially when it comes to your fitness goals and health. It's important to have a support group. You need to be in contact with friends who encourage and motivate you to be better than yesterday. If you're dealing with negativity or even sabotage by your loved ones, you aren't alone. Overcoming negative criticism has nothing to do with your family or friends and everything to do with you, and what you say to yourself. According to a recent study conducted by the University of Northern Iowa, people who believe in their own positive self-talk perform better in athletic tasks than those who don't believe in it. Remember the power of clear communication. Make it known what your fitness goals are and how important they are, the greater your chance of support.
4. Affirmation - Practice affirmative statements throughout your training programs and visualize how you'll handle negative situations in a positive way. This can give you the power to stay positive during a negative encounter. See yourself only giving out positive energy to people around you. If fact, this will bring back positive energy to you. This goes back to what we talked about above in being honest with yourself and creating affirmations to change your thought process. Now, isn't it time to make some new agreements with yourself? Take time to sit down and write your positive affirmations about your new happier life. Changing what you say to yourself will change what you think! Here is an example of my affirmations to help you get started.
I am a happy, exciting, intelligent, beautiful woman. I have a continuous flow of positive energy and power that flows through my every vein like a mighty flowing powerful river, empowering me to go forward to accomplish my goals and my dreams.
If it's to be it's up to me. I always stop to see where I'm at and at the moment I become present and conscious. I realize I have a choice and with that choice I choose to become honest, positive, creative, ambitious and successful. I am the honest, positive, creative, ambitious, successful force in my life, because if it's to be it's up to me.
