About Sandy |
I founded Body By Sandy in 2006 to empower women to reach their physical fitness goals. I strive to show each client step-by-step which direction to take on their journey to reach their goals. Whether it's stepping on the scale just to see a lower number, or stepping on stage for a figure/bikini competition; I love and enjoy watching my clients' successes.
ONE-ON-ONE:
When you choose to work with me, you are not just a number. I will be your fitness mentor. You will receive the one-on-one attention you need to wear a smaller pant size; fit into that dazzling dress you've seen while window shopping; or put on those heels and sparkling suits to step onto the competition stage.
If you are seeking to change your life, but do not want to get caught up in the chaos of group training classes, a one-on-one session
with me is just what you need. I specialize in helping women on an individual basis take the journey to a more fit and confident lifestyle.

My focus is to make every minute you work with me count. Whether you want me to help you burn calories, and sculpt your physique, or practice stage presence, my attention is 100% on you.

If you are unsure what your goal should be, let me help you. I will perform a free body analysis to get you started and inspire you to discover new inner strengths and desires. I will work closely with you to map out a plan to incorporate specific weight training techniques, pylometrics, cardiovascular programs, and compose a nutrition plan consisting of balanced carbs, proteins, veggies and fruit. I have focused my business on helping women find their power, beauty and health again, something I am extremely proud of.
INSIDE:
When you choose Body By Sandy, I will work closely with you to make the change on the inside before making changes on the outside. I believe possibilities in life are unlimited, and there are many obstacles each of us faces. We can either choose to move forward by making a difference or sit back and watch other people make a difference.

 LOOKING BACK:
My quest for fitness and health started at a very young age when I learned to work on a farm and raise home grown beef, pork, fresh laid eggs, and grow a garden full of wholesome organic vegetables and fruits. I wasn't raised on candy bars, chips and coke, my parents only allowed healthy foods in our home. I feel very fortunate to have loving parents that guided me in the right direction.
Growing up my father inspired me to stay active through sports, and eventually I joined the high school gymnastics team. Upon graduating, I modeled for 7 years and loved the people, clothes and body language skills I acquired. As a model it is imperative to stay in good shape so I joined a local gym and participated in calorie sweating aerobic classes for 20+ years. At the age of 38, I was thin but flabby, and wanted to have more definition and muscle tone so I entered the Body For Life contest. At that point, I added intense weight lifting to my work out regimen and within a short 3 months my physique went from fit to fab and I possessed a stronger, leaner, sculpted body. Completing that challenge turned on a light bulb, and compelled me to do several competitions. At the time figure was not introduced so I competed in bodybuilding my first year and in 2001 figure was introduced. I competed for 2 years in figure but always was awarded runner up. I wanted that 1st place trophy.

ADVERSITY:
When you face adversity, take the time to go back to the drawing board, like I did. Even after 4 competitions I found I had to push myself even harder, I had to spend endless hours posing, and working on my stage presence and getting the perfect competition suit. I found the formulation for success and at the age of 42 when I won my height class, Masters and Overall at the NPC 2003 Utah Cup Figure Competition. I continued on my journey in 2004 when I entered the NPC Figure Master Nationals in Pittsburg taking 3rd place. On my journey I have learned many powerful secrets, and now my desire is to share this knowledge with you. Let me be your fitness mentor and show you the ropes.
"People who soar are those who refuse to sit back, sigh and wish things would change. They neither complain of their lot nor passively dream of some distant ship coming in. Rather, they visualize in their minds that they are not quitters; they will not allow life's circumstances to push them down and hold them under." - Charles R. Swindoll
